POEM - Mosquito

Creative differences aside, I really
Couldn't support the efforts
Of the invasive flitting creature, whom
It seems is determined I have
A bounty of blood to spare. He can’t
Be real. No I really must insist. Stop

The setting sun makes the crumpled lump
Sit in looming relief much bigger
It was silly how quick the end came
So sensitive these blood-suckers are

The slightest swat and total annihilation
